Coming to our hospitals
Staying in hospital or coming in for a medical appointment can be a daunting experience, but we want to know that we are here to support you and your child during their time here. Whether your child is coming in for a surgical procedure, a routine check-up or a lengthy stay, we want to make it as easy as possible for you and your child.
We try hard to create a healing sanctuary for children and their families, and our friendly staff will make everything as ‘normal’ as possible. However the children will be in an unfamiliar environment, with machines they haven’t seen before, and people they haven’t met, and it’s helpful if they are prepared for this.
If there’s something that we haven’t covered, please don’t hesitate to contact the sister or play specialist on the relevant ward/department, who will be pleased to give you all the information and advice that you need.
