15th February, 2020 from 1-3pm
At the February 2020 YES meeting, members discussed the limited resources for young adults on adult wards within the Trust. A discussion was had about what type of support YES could offer and how they might begin to facilitate this. Members decided they would be happy to support the initial purchase of an activity trolley but that the wards who received the trolley would be required to fund the replenishment of the items. This will be further discussed at the March meeting.
Members at the meeting also hosted Michael Kim, Consultant in Emergency Medicine at The Royal London Hospital who spoke to the group about partnering to film a Recruitment Video. Members were tasked to come up with 4-5 points of what YES is about and why they want people to join the group. The Recruitment video will be filmed in the coming months.
Finally, with the Co-Media Consultants in post, members discussed ideas to expand their social media platform and develop more ways to demonstrate/showcase their activities and events.
The Barts Health Youth Empowerment Squad is always looking for ways to expand their network.
